Meeting in Greece 1
Thiva : Apr 2017 Results
Ten rules for peer-to-peer learning 1. Peer tutors should be well trained in
communication techniques. 2. Successful peer-to-peer education needs
to implement good social communicative competences. 3. Peer tutors must be supervised by
teachers. 4. Teachers have to monitor that the
peer tutor has selected the most relevant material for the lesson content. 5. All students should experience the
role of tutor and learner for a better understanding. 6. Peer-to-peer tutoring should be done
one to one or in no more than groups of maximum four people. 7. The same tutor and learner should be
paired together over a sustained period of time so that a personal relationship
can develop between them. 8. After a peer-to-peer session there
should be time for evaluation and follow-up refinement. 9. The places of work should be separated.
The peer groups should not disturb each other. 10. Peer-to-peer
works only if the students have a positive attitude to this learning method. We proved that E-learning and ICT tools are perfect to
get a better performance in peer education. Exercises, tests and movies presented in Moodle supports the personal contact between peer teacher and peer learner in a perfect way.
